Bookify + Apple Calendar

Use iCloud Calendar as your scheduling source of truth. Bookify keeps your Apple Calendar synced even though Apple doesn't expose webhooks.

What the Apple Calendar integration does

  • Polls iCloud every few minutes for changes — close to real-time without needing an Apple-side webhook (which doesn't exist).
  • Bookings appear on every Apple device signed into your iCloud account: iPhone, iPad, Mac.
  • Conflict detection scans every calendar in your iCloud account, including shared family or team ones.
  • Works with app-specific passwords — no need to enter your real iCloud password.

How to connect Apple Calendar

  1. Open https://appleid.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → App-Specific Passwords. Create one labeled 'Bookify'.
  2. Open /dashboard/integrations in Bookify and click 'Connect Apple Calendar'.
  3. Enter your iCloud email and the app-specific password (NOT your real password).
  4. Pick the primary iCloud calendar Bookify writes to.
  5. Bookings start syncing within a few minutes of confirmation.

FAQ

+Why an app-specific password?

Apple doesn't expose OAuth for iCloud Calendar — they only allow third-party access via CalDAV with an app-specific password. That password only grants calendar access; it can't sign in to anything else.

+How fast do bookings appear on my iPhone?

Usually within 15 minutes — that's our CalDAV poll cycle. Apple doesn't offer real-time webhooks for calendar events.

+Can I revoke access?

Yes — delete the app-specific password from your Apple ID page and Bookify immediately loses access.
